Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 - The God-Given Task
9 What profit is there to the worker in his work? 10 I have seen the task that God has given with which the sons of men are occupied. 11 He made everything appropriate (beautiful) (good) in its time. God placed eternity in the heart of man. For man is unable to see the works of God from the first to the last. 12 I am certain that there is nothing better for a man than to rejoice and to do good works in life. 13 Every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor. It is the gift of God. 14 I know that whatever God does it will be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor any thing taken from it. God does it in order that men should reverence (respect) him. 15 That which is has already been and that which is to be has already been. God seeks what has passed by.
